Just to push the slumgum down and get a head start on the reclamation process? seems like you could do it then, skim the wax. Add extra wax scraps and more water and go again to reclaim?

After extracting, can I put the box of frames back on the stack so the bees can get leftover honey from the cells? Or will that cause robbing? I love the comb on the frames after extraction🎉

I wish i seen this video 2 days earlier! what i did i put a 5 frames queenright hive under another hive which been queenless for over 6 weeks full of 8 frame bees and they started fighting since morning got quiet after that and now they fight really hard i hear a lot of fights going on inside, they got through the newspaper in less than 12 hours, I don't think the queen still alive very sad i wish i never did it

Awesome idea. I already have a fan similar to this. I believe amazon has a small body fan thst clips on your belt under your shirt. That may help us as well.

I ordered some frames & deep boxes from Mann lake , when it arrived & I opened I realized someone took a crap in the box

Betterbee frames: Top Bar is 3/4" thick, end bars are 3/8" thick and the bottom bar is 1/2" thick. All the joints are glued and stapled, but they do have the empty gap at the end of the bottom bar joint. I found one side bar that was only 5/16" thick. Maybe their machine was out of adjustment. 🐝🐝

I bought double waxed super foundations from Mann Lake and the bees won't touch them. I don't understand what's up with that!

I’m not sure this is a fair comparison . How do you know what their frames are like when you haven’t bought in a long time and you are comparing a frame that has sat out in your bee yard for who knows how long? I just bought frames from Mann Lake. The quality seems great and my bees are drawing them out really fast. Whenever I’ve had a problem I just call and they made it right.

I know bees rob honey. Can they rob wax? Or can they reuse wax? if you were to drop a block or sheet of wax into the hive could they use it to build comb?

80% of commercial beekeepers I know use Mann Lake frames. Many won't use any others. I guess they all don't know what they're doing? Is this guy getting paid by Premier?

Hey Kamon! New bee keeper here from Lebanon, TN..I’ve been following your videos and this series and looking to split in the next week or 2 and wanting to graft my own queens. My hives are starting to draw the outside frames and I’d like to time it to drop a queen cell. Any tips with the weather being so hot coming up and grafting for success?

I never liked checkerboarding they seem to draw out the comb on the old frame too much. I found that putting 9 new frames in a 10 frame box with one drawn comb the bees would draw out all the comb evenly. In the second use I would switch to 9 frame for honey storage in a 10 frame box. I got a box of those global patties and they're great but they're expensive. If you can afford it you definitely get what you pay for. I'm currently using a 40lb box of bulk soft ultrabee from mannlake, they don't consume it as fast but at $1.87 a pound I can manage that.

I was disappointed in my frames from Dadant recently. The top bars are all a bit over 1/8” shorter than my older frames. In my old hive boxes they can fall off the frame rests if the box shifts sideways!

I just bought 40 Hillco frames with Premier double wax foundation. Let’s see how they compare to Mann Lake’s pre assembled frames. I’ve always liked Mann Lake’s waxed plastic foundation especially compared to the Amazon junk. In my short time as a beekeeper, the bees have done great with it.

aint you got white dutch clover in your area? we got a lot. Cumberland plateau Huntsville TN. and sumacs then sourwood and basswood yet to bloom

I lost two hives last year due to beetles. I was really sick and there was nothing I can do about it. Please. Folks don't let those little monsters get out of hand. Diatomaceous on the earth helps and actually I was told by another beekeeper that grub x is working phenomenally well for them but obviously they put it on the ground....

First!! Hey Kamon, what you just showed in the video is exactly what I have been doing this year, a lot of times the outside frames don’t get drawn out fast like the center ones do, so I slowly move a couple of outside frame a little more towards the center and they draw it out really quickly. I have had good success doing that. The bees will eventually draw the outside frames if you dont move the towards the center but takes much longer, that’s what I have seen at least. have a wonderful day Kamon

MANN LAKE HAS 1.5 STARS ON TRUST PILOT... EXTREMELY BAD REVIEWS! BOYCOTT MANN LAKE!! I've been waiting a over a week & they havnt even shipped out 5 measly hive bodies..ridiculous! I need them the flow is on right now!!!! & we are going into a weekend so it'll be another week or longer before I receive them

Our frames are cut and assembled by by an Amish shop in PA. Glued and Stapled. I was having the same issues with Dadant and Mann Lake you are having. Neither of those two are reliable and don't stand behind their product. The Amish frames are 7/8" top bar width, bottoms are full 1/2", side bars are full 1/2".
